Studio Dance Floors Bring Dance Fever
Whether you enjoy participating in dancing or simply watching it, there are many styles of dance to choose from. Ballroom dancing is one popular version of dancing that many people take on as a hobby for exercise. Other people choose ballet or tap dancing. Some really get dance fever and even do it as a career. Dancing requires certain materials and equipment to enhance training. With the appropriate dance studio flooring and supplies it is easier to achieve dancing goals and keep participants safe from injuries.
With the many styles of dance available, there are quite a lot of dance studio supplies to choose from. Each type of dancing requires different supplies to achieve optimum performance.
Ballet dancers use a variety of dance studio supplies. Ballet bars are one example of this. There are different versions of bars, which are made from various materials. The most popular material used for construction is oak. These bars are also available in portable versions, making it easier for the dancer to train and rehearse wherever they might be.
One example of dance studio supplies is mirrors. A dancer of any style has to be able to see what they are doing in order to observe mistakes and correct them. Other supplies include talc, proper shoes, and acceptable attire.
Dance studio flooring is especially important for ballet dancers. The most popular version of these studio floors is the marley style. These studio dance floors offer the required amount of resilience for the performer. A studio dance floor used for ballet purposes should never be too firm. This causes repetitive strain on the dancer, thus increasing the risk of permanent injury.
Tap dancers also require a certain kind of studio dance floors. This style is similar to those that ballet dancers use. One difference, though, is the sound that the floor makes. Studio floors for tap dancing need to carry the appropriate sound that is associated with tap dancing. The best tapping sound is achieved by using a floating floor system. This simply means that the dance studio flooring is assembled so there is about a two inch gap between itself and the sub flooring.
Studio floors can also be used for aerobics as well as gymnastics and cheerleading purposes. Floors used for aerobics typically don’t have any requirements other than resilience. Gymnasts and cheerleaders often use a type of studio floor which has actual springs built into it. This gives them comfort and that little extra bounce that they need for optimum performance.
There are many styles of dancing that people participate in, each with their own set of requirements for flooring and equipment. Having the necessary tools will ensure top notch training and the best possible performances time after time.
